VOLUNTEER FIRE BRIGADE BOZPO

Volunteer fire brigade BOZPO Prievidza is a unified, purpose-built, humane, a politically independent voluntary civic association in accordance with SNR Act no. 83/1990 Coll. on association of citizens. It participates in the protection of lives, health, and property in all forms of property from fires and natural disasters.

The main objective of VFB BOZPO Prievidza is to build, organize and improve voluntary firefighting within the legal entity and in the spirit of these statutes and fire protection standards, in particular:

intervention, technical assistance
fire prevention and education in preventing fires
training, training, training and DHZ preparedness reviews
education of children and youth
cooperation with municipalities of the region of Prievidza district
civil protection of the population
fulfilling the duties of the municipal fire brigade
enhancing the heritage and history of fire protection
cross – border cooperation

2019

Iron firefighter Poprad

October 12, 2019, Also this Saturday our colleagues Janka and Vlado again fought in the competition of the toughest firefighters Iron firefighter in Poprad and both won the deserved first place. We are looking forward to them and congratulations!

TFA competition of the hardest firefighters in Kostelany, CZ

On September 29, 2019, Vladimír Šramka took part in another competition on Sunday, TFA competition of the hardest firefighters in Kostelany (Czech Republic), where he finished second with only 3 seconds loss to the first place!

Iron firefighter Bojnice

On September 28, 2019, Vladimír Šramka and Jaka Bednáriková decided to represent our DHZ BOZPO team at the 3rd year of the Iron Fireman Bojnice competition. Even in bad weather, however, with the support of colleagues from BOZPO Vlado won the desired first place in his category with an excellent time of 4:02 on a physically demanding track. From Bojnice you won the gold cup and the title Iron Fireman of Bojnice for 2019! DHZ BOZPO had its iron in the fire also in the category of women represented by Janka. In the competition, she took an excellent 4th place. DHZ BOZPO was represented not only in the competition but also in the presentation booth, where a program for children was prepared, stickers, coloring books, toys made the day more enjoyable and made a smile on the faces of children.

Horehron Cup in TFA in Brezno

On September 28, 2019, Janka Bednáriková participated in the competition of the Horehron Cup in TFA in Brezno in the morning where she was the best in her category and won first place!

Iron firefighter Kanianka

On September 21, 2019, the 1st annual Fire Fireman Kanianka competition took place in the area near the dam in the village of Kanianka. The toughest firefighters and firefighters measured their strength in physically demanding disciplines. For the best, cups in each category and prizes were prepared.
There was also an accompanying program in the form of an exhibition of historical firefighting equipment, which we provided as the general partner of the competition. its views on its own. This option was especially pleasing to children who did not miss this opportunity. There were also refreshments such as goulash, hot dogs, beer, kola and much more.
We would like to thank all those who participated in the 1st year of the Iron Fireman competition in Kanianka.

Tactical exercise VFB BOZPO

On August 23, 2019, a tactical exercise by the Voluntary Fire Brigade BOZPO was held in the village of Cígeľ near the multipurpose water reservoir, focusing on the fire fighting of wood material. Demonstration of providing first aid to the injured person – stabilization of a broken arm. Children who tried to extinguish with a small hose were also involved in the activities.

5th TFA Doubravice nad Svitavou (CZ)

On August 3, 2019, a firefighting competition took place in Doubravice nad Svitavou in the Czech Republic. There were 3 competitors from the Slovaks (the first in the history of TFA Doubravice). Vladimír Šramka again did not disappoint and represented our DHZ BOZPO team and showed his strength, skill and team spirit. As an individual, he placed in 14th place and in Tandem (in pair) with Matúš Koreň he placed in nice 4th place.

Firefighting competition Iron firefighter Spišská Stará Ves

On July 28, 2019, two members of our DHZ BOZPO team took part in the Iron Fireman competition in Spišská Stará Ves. Vladimír Šramka started 26th and finished with the best time 3:03:21. Unfortunately, after reaching the finish line, he was told by the referees that he had insufficiently screwed the nozzle onto the jet C, which was attached to the hydrant attachment and was automatically disqualified. If he was granted time, he would have finished 1st in the category under 35 years. Unfortunately, this is the sport and the details are decisive. “I never lose. Either I win or I learn,“ said Vladimír Šramka. At the same time, we congratulate Jana Bednáriková on her successful 1st place and she took home the traveling cup. We keep our fingers crossed for other competitions.

Children’s Day with fire trucks

On June 15, 2019, the BOZPO area was filled with a baby stamp and laughter. The smiling faces tell us that the kids liked the action. We are extremely pleased to see “our BOZPO kids” growing and there are more and more of them. Demonstration rides were a great attraction not only for children but also for adults.

International Children’s Day in Kocúrany

On June 2, 2019, the International Children’s Day was held in Kocúrany in cooperation with the Commission for Culture and Sport. Various competitions and rewards were prepared for children. The celebration included demonstrations of historical and contemporary firefighting equipment.

Firefighting competition Iron firefighter Lúky

On June 2, 2019, our VFB member Vladimír Šramka decided to take part in the competition “TFA – Iron Firefighter” in the village Lúky. The competition consisted of very demanding disciplines for skill and endurance. But Vladimir managed everything with an overview, which brought him the appropriate appreciation. With his time of 4: 45: 28s he placed on the beautiful 2nd place!

International Children’s Day at Kľak

On May 25, 2019, our team of representatives of the Voluntary Fire Brigade BOZPO participated in the Children’s Day at Kľak. You could see historical fire trucks and take pictures of them, the kids took away beautiful fire stickers, which we prepared just for this event. Thank you for your interest pleased us every single visitor in our booth. We are glad that we could contribute to the experience during this event.

Firefighting competition Iron firefighter Bánovce nad Bebravou

On May 12, 2019, Vladimír Šrámka took part in the Iron Fireman competition in Bánovce nad Bebravou where he won 5th place.

BOZPO on the celebration of the 130th anniversary of the establishment of VFB in the village Zemianske Kostoľany

On September 29, 2018, the 130th anniversary of DHZ in the village took place in Zemianske Kostoľany. On this occasion, BOZPO contributed to celebrating this important anniversary by making historical firefighting equipment available. We were pleased that we could be part of the celebrations and pay tribute to this noble voluntary activity.

Firefighting competition Iron firefighter Bojnice

On 22nd September 2018, we participated as a sponsor of the volunteer firemen competition – Iron Firefighter Bojnice 2018. The second year of the competition took place in Bojnice Square with the participation of volunteer firemen and firefighters from the surroundings who measured their strength on the track. Congratulations to the winners and thank the organizers for participating in this interesting event as a sponsor.

Tactical exercise

On August 5, 2017, after a year again, a tactical exercise of the volunteer fire brigade BOZPO was held at the multipurpose tank in the village of Cígeľ.

Tactical exercise

On June 12, 2016, a tactical exercise VFB BOZPO was held in the village of Cígeľ on a multipurpose water reservoir. The exercise was coordinated with VFB Cígeľ. The tactics were aimed at creating traffic and offensive lines and pumping water for extinguishing from a free water source with the help of WG 12. Children and wives of volunteer firemen were also involved in the activities.
