The European Week for Safety and Health at Work is held annually during the 43rd calendar week of the year. This year takes place from 21.10 – 25.10.2019.

It is the largest event aimed at raising awareness in the field of health and safety at work. The event is coordinated by the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA), with events and activities at national level being carried out by the Agency’s partners in the 28 EU Member States and beyond.

You can also help improve health and safety at European workplaces by disseminating sources of information about the campaign, participating in local events, or using the electronic tool for the management of hazardous substances.

According to information of the National Labor Inspectorate of the Slovak Republic throughout the week, activities aimed at improving public awareness of the importance of safe work and the protection of employees’ health will be increasingly promoted in Slovakia. As in previous years, individual labor inspectorates will organize several activities, discussions, seminars, open days at labor inspectorates in their regions and will increasingly devote themselves to providing free counseling.

The list of planned activities is published on the website of the National Labor Inspectorate www.ip.gov.sk, or in the section “latest contributions” on the pages of individual labor inspectorates.

From the level of the National Labor Inspectorate, during this year’s European OSH Week in cooperation with the European Agency for OSH, the conference “Culture of Security” is being prepared, which will take place on 22 October in Bratislava. In addition, in cooperation with partners from the European Enterprise Network (EEN), it is preparing a free seminar at the Dukla Hotel in Prešov on October 24, which will also conclude a series of activities organized as part of the current two-year EU-OSHA campaign.
