A new review of the literature looks at the problems of those working for digital platforms, ranging from insufficient social protection and digital surveillance to job and income insecurity. The impact of these issues on occupational safety and health is being examined, as well as new initiatives and legislation in the area of prevention and risk management for occupational safety and health.

Given the growing number of people employed through digital platforms, addressing these risks and protecting workers for platforms is one of the top priorities at EU level. A policy document with the most important findings was prepared for policy makers together with the report as a contribution to better information in the preparation of OSH policies and procedures in the field of digital platforms.
